Our three spaces

The shop floor
The room you walk into. The bar, the decks and our hi-fi are all up here, and the tables push back for dancing. Your DJ plays from the window, or plug in your own playlist!

The basement
A time capsule that takes you back to the 70s, with a warm and alluring ambience. Forty standing, a PA, stage lights and a projector. Our engineer runs the sound, and can record the night for an extra fee.
The garden
Out the back, with room for about 25 and heaters for when it turns chilly. It's yours till 10pm, and it's why summer birthdays book early!
| Space | Standing |
|---|---|
| Whole venue | 50 |
| Basement | 40 |
| Garden | 25 |
Typically £30 a head, all in. Here's how that works.
What's included
- In-house sound engineering
- Our hi-fi and the DJ decks on the shop floor
- The garden till 10pm and the bar till 11pm
- Cracking empanadas from Arquitos, all plant-based, and a full bar
What people book us for
- Birthdays and private parties, on Saturday nights
- Team socials and Christmas parties, on Saturday nights too. December goes from the summer, so ask early!
- Film screenings, comedy and poetry nights! The basement has a projector and a stage, so tell us what you've got in mind below
- Rehearsals, photo and film shoots, Tuesday to Friday in the day
- Your own gig or DJ night
What it costs
Typically £30 a head, and the whole venue is yours for the night.
- £6 a head is the hire fee, paid up front to hold your date
- £24 a head is your minimum spend at the bar on the night, and empanadas count towards it, not just drinks
- Fifty guests works out at £1,500: £300 to book and £1,200 behind the bar
- Minimum 25 guests. Fewer than that and it's priced as 25
- The hire fee isn't redeemable at the bar, and it's non-refundable if you cancel within two weeks of the date
- If the bar spend falls short, the difference is settled at the end of the night or soon after
- Preordered empanadas are charged on top
How the night runs
- Guests from 5pm
- The garden closes at 10pm
- Bar and music until 11pm
- The venue closes at 11.30pm
One thing to know: our licence doesn't allow children on the premises after 6pm, so a private booking here is a grown-ups' night.
House rules
- Bring your own food if you like. There's a £50 cleaning fee unless you bring disposable serving ware and bin bags and take the waste with you
- No sparklers, and strictly no candles or open flames in the basement
- No confetti or glitter, and blu-tac only for hanging things
- We're on a residential street, so please be kind to the neighbours with the music and on the way out
Things people ask us
- Can we bring our own DJ, or play our own music?
- Yes! There are decks and a hi-fi on the shop floor. Bring a DJ, or plug in and run your own playlist.
- Can we have a band?
- Yes! The basement's a live room with a PA, and our engineer runs the sound. A recording of the night costs extra.
- How many people can we bring?
- Up to 50 across the whole venue for a private do. The basement on its own holds 40, which is where we cap ticketed gigs.
- How late does it go?
- Guests from 5pm. The garden closes at 10pm, the bar and music at 11pm, and the venue at 11.30pm.
- How is it priced?
- Typically £30 a head: £6 up front to hold the date, £24 spent at the bar on the night. Fifty guests is £1,500. See what it costs.
- Can children come?
- Not after 6pm, sadly. Our licence doesn't allow it, and with guests arriving from 5pm a private booking here is a grown-ups' night.
- Is there food?
- Cracking empanadas from Arquitos, all plant-based, and a full bar.
- Is it step-free?
- No, sorry. There's a step up from the street and the basement is down a flight of stairs. See Access below, and do get in touch if you'd like to talk it through.
